The crayon is a staple of childhood creativity, and the crayon emoji is often associated with youth, color and fun. Just like crayons in the real world, the crayon emoji comes in a variety of colors, depending on the emoji platform used. Usually it is a shade of red or orange, though LG developers have opted for blue and Emojidex with green, and it is always held at a 220° angle. It is associated with creativity and art – though usually quite crude or amateurish art – and with children. It is frequently seen with other childhood or school related emojis in conversations about schools and school life.
