The money-mouth face emoji is one of the more unusual additions from 2015. It shows a face which has had its eyes replaced by dollar signs, and its tongue as – in most instances – green, with yet another dollar sign imprinted onto it. Its meaning is fairly self-evident: a love for money, or alternatively to show that you are currently flush with cash, for instance, because you’ve just been paid your salary and are now ready to go out and spend it. It generally has positive associations, but it can be used to imply someone is obsessed with making money and spending cash in a way that might be reckless or unattractive.
