The paintbrush emoji is a popular emoji and used extensively when talking about art, artists and creative projects in general. The emoji depicts a standard artist’s paintbrush, with a rounded bristle head and what is frequently a quite chubby handle with a metallic ferrule and crimp. On most emoji platforms, the handle is blue, though in some versions is can be brown or yellow. In all but the Apple and LG versions of this emoji, colorful paint is visible on the bristles. The emoji can be used in any conversation about paint and painting – sometimes even makeup! – and when talking about artists and artistic endeavors.
