The pig emoji differs from the pig face emoji in that it shows the whole body and not just the head of the pig. It is invariable pink, often quite realistic, and viewed from a side view orientated right to left. It often has a twisty, coiled tail, though in some versions it shows a short, docked version. It represents pigs, pig farmers, farms in general and bacon! It is usually less cartoony than the pig face emoji, but they can be used interchangeably. The emoji can be used as an insult – either sincere or lighthearted – such as to suggest someone is a pig, or to say that you have just had a massive meal and feel like a pig!
