🚩 Triangular Flag emoji

Definition - 🚩 meaning

The triangular flag emoji shows a single triangular flag – usually a shade of red or orange, but a golden yellow on Samsung devices – on a flag pole. The emoji hasn’t been assigned any definite meaning, though is usually assumed to be the corner flag for a sport’s field, or even more commonly still: the flag pole for golf holes. It can be used in just that context: to signify sporting events and in particular golf, though now with the inclusion of a specific golf hole emoji, the triangular flag has become somewhat obsolete. In other contexts, it can be used as part of a general selection of party, celebration or sports emojis.
