The zipper-mouth face emoji is a prime example of an emoji which has arisen from a very particular word or turn of phrase, in this particular instant: โzip it!โ. The emoji has circular eyes, but which has, instead of a mouth, a closed zip. The emoji has two very similar meanings, which can usually be gauged by context. Either the sender is telling the recipient that this is secret information or news, and that they arenโt to tell anyone! Alternatively, it could be meant as the sender has information, but they canโt tell because theyโre sworn to secrecy: their lips are sealed!
