The monkey face emoji is almost identical to the three Mizaru – see-hear-speak-no-evil – monkeys, except that it only depicts the head and face and doesn’t show any raised paws. The monkey almost always has a happy demeanor with a large grin on its face. On Facebook Messenger and Mozilla, the monkey’s face is slightly more surprised than happy, but it maintains a fun and friendly look. Its primary meaning is quite simply a monkey, but it can be used in a wide range of contexts. It is used to mark a conversation as being a bit silly or to call someone a “cheeky monkey”!
