The neutral face emoji is characterized by its circular eyes and an emotionless mouth which is a single straight line. It has multiple meanings, all of which are fairly negative or passive aggressive. Firstly, it can be used if you are in a state of shock: if something has just revealed something embarrassing or strange that you just weren’t expecting. Similarly, it can also be used if someone has just told you something that was way TMIF! Also use when you are trying to show that you feel awkward or mildly embarrassed, and don’t know what to say or do, or if you feel completely indifferent about a situation or statement.
