The oncoming fist emoji is one of a number of emojis which depict a hand clenched in a tight fist. On most platforms, the emoji appears either as a typical emoji yellow color or – less frequently – as a pale Caucasian shade of natural skin color. Some emoji platforms do allow for skin tone modification, but this feature may not be supported across all platforms or devices. It is almost always depicted as the right fist, and is viewed directly face on. It can symbolize a punch, but is more commonly interpreted as a fist bump. In this sense, it can be used as a greeting, a congrats or as encouragement.
