The outbox tray emoji depicts a four-sided rectangular box without a lid. The box is usually brown, but it can also be white, blue, yellow or gray depending on the emoji platform used. The box is either shown as empty or with some sheets of paper placed inside it. There is also an arrow emerging from the box to signify that something is leaving or being removed from it. The arrow is usually red, though on some platforms it is green or blue. The emoji can be used to show that messages are being sent, or that the end of the work day is fast approaching and someone is clearing their desk.
