The package emoji manifests itself differently depending on the emoji platform used, though usually it appears as a brown cardboard box, often with stickers or labels on its outer surface and closed shut with tape. The version used by LG and Emojidex depicts a box almost indistinguishable from the wrapped gift emoji and appears to be wrapped in colorful paper and held together with a bow. The standard brown box version, however, is unlikely to be used to represent gifts and gift giving. More frequently it is used to show that something is being shipped or that someone is about to move house or apartment.
