While we may not remember having one of these, it still makes a perfect sense to use it the next time we decide to be at service for that one friend that enjoys photography enough to make a living out of it, while you can still use this one to caption pretty much anything related to the photography itself, the main reason why this emoji represent the old digital cameras is to make us remember all those photos we actually took with those, and are probably lost among the other photos that we wouldn’t want anyone to see ever again.

Camera emoji was a part of Unicode 6.0 released in 2010. The 📷 emoji shows the iconic single lens reflex camera. A video camera, 📹 and a movie camera, 🎥 were also added at the same time for videography lovers. In coming years, camera with flash, 📸 was also included to depict that photo has been taken in darker environment. So, you have a lot of camera emojis to use in your chat. Most of the emoji keyboards have the camera emoji on 2nd row of objects tab.
