New emojis under emoji version 13.0

Early 2020 witnessed the addition of 117 new emojis on March 10, 2020. The update had 53 new characters including 5 new animals and 2 smileys. Transgender flag and symbol backed by Google and Microsoft also checked into the final list. Keeping gender neutrality in mind, feeding woman is accompained by feeding person and feeding man. Elevator's symbol added to the accessibilty symbol and houshold items like mirror, toothbrush, plunger and bucket were also brought in. Musical instruments e.g., accordion and long drum and utility tools like carpentery saw, ladder, screwdriver were also addded.

Emoji 13.1 was released just 6 months after Emoji 13.0. All major platforms updated their arsenal to include the new emojis by the end of 2020. Here is the complete list of new emojis launched:
