Latin cross emoji is one in the serious of the religious symbols that were released few years back and this one is used to represent those that belong to the Catholic Church, including the Protestants as well. It is one of the sacred symbols that represents the suffering of Jesus, and can also be seen in every church. Most of the people use this one to show that they belong to that particular religion so it only makes sense that it’s used in that way.
