The sneezing face emoji was added in 2016 and shows the emoji’s face largely obscured by a tissue or hankie. The eyes are closely scrunched together and the zigzag style mouth is similar to that of the confounded face emoji. Unlike the face with medical mask or the face with thermometer emojis which can be used to imply a general feeling of unwell, the sneezing face emoji is much more specific and is almost exclusively used to tell the world that the sender has a cold or flu. You are likely to see this one used with a medicine or injection emoji, and may follow an excuse for cancellation of plans!

🤧, the sneezing face emoji, immediately brings to mind someone suffering from a cold or battling seasonal allergies. But when coming from a girl, what could it imply?
On the surface, she might be dealing with a runny nose or sneezes brought on by pollen, dust, or a slight cold. It's her way of saying, "I'm not feeling 100% today."
However, let's venture beyond the physical. This emoji can sometimes be a creative tool to convey a more figurative 'sickness'. Perhaps she's feeling a bit under the weather emotionally or mentally. Maybe it's an off day, or something has her feeling 'blue'.
Has she recently watched a heart-wrenching movie or read an emotional book? The 🤧 might be her way of saying she's been crying and needs a tissue. Sometimes, emotions just spill over!
Ever done something so embarrassingly cute or sentimental that you felt like "sneezing"? This emoji can be her playful way of highlighting that endearing awkwardness.
In a more humorous light, the sneezing face might be her fun way of indicating a strong reaction to something. Perhaps, a cringe-worthy joke you shared or an outfit choice that's just a tad too bold.
