The green heart emoji is the same size as the other single love heart emojis, but is characterized by its deep forest green color. It has a number of different uses, including its most obvious: as a symbol of love and affection. Given its color, it is frequently used with statements or other emojis associated with animals or the environment, and as such is often used in tweets or Facebook posts by wildlife, vegetarian or vegan campaign groups or individuals. Depending on the context, it can alternatively symbolize jealousy: green being the color of jealousy. In this case, it would usually be used ironically or light-heartedly, such as to say you love – and are jealous of – a friends new pair of shoes, car or partner!
