The balance scale emoji shows an old-fashioned weighing scales, which today is most readily associated with justice and the law. It’s usually shown as a gold or silver metallic color, though some versions also have elements of black or blue. Samsung has its emoji set on a green square background, with the balance scales silhouetted in white. On all versions, the scales are completely balanced. It’s used in combination with other legal emojis to represent the legal profession, law and order, and justice. It is also one of the symbols of the star sign Libra, so it can be used in that context too.
