The card bow emoji shows a box or file cabinet drawer filled with cards and usually with three to four different color card dividers. The box or drawer itself is a shade of grey, black or brown, depending on the emoji platform used. It is frequently employed when talking about those who work as secretaries, though it can be used more generally to represent any work which takes place in an office environment. It can be used more figuratively too to mean that an idea or plan has been “put on file”, or is being considered. In this context, the emoji might be combined with a thought balloon emoji.
