The crab emoji is quite versatile and has a number of meanings depending on the context. It is red with large claws and usually pictured from above. The crab is a symbol of the star sign Cancer, and is used in relation to this. Of course, it is also used in discussions about the seaside, sea life and the ocean, as well as crab for food! More figuratively, the snapping of the crab’s claws has been said to be like the clicking of fingers, and the crab emoji is often used to draw attention to a statement or to make a response even more effusive.
