The nose emoji is a versatile emoji which can be used in almost any context which involves noses, scent and smells. It usually shows a single yellow nose, viewed face on. On Facebook Messenger, the nose is viewed from a slightly side on perspective. The nose is quite lifelike in most versions and usually shows both nostrils. Some platforms allow for skin tone modification, though this may not be supported across all devices. It can be used in conjunction with other emojis and has a variety of meaning including “this smells good!”, “I have a nose for this sort of thing!” and even: I smell a rat!!
