The round pushpin emoji is very similar to the pushpin emoji both in appearance and meaning. However, instead of an oblong plastic head, the red top is in the shape of a globe. Depending on the platform used, the emoji is either shown at an angle or in a straight, vertical position. It can be used just as the regular pushpin emoji can, for instance to tell someone an idea has been “pinned” into place. Additionally, the image of the round push pin is frequently used in mapping software to pin point a particular destination or location. The emoji can therefore be used to talk about a place, for instance to tell someone to “come here” or to simply say “I’m here!”.
