The Azerbaijan, country that bears this flag is situated in the South Caucasus region and is by a religion one of the only Muslim countries in that part of the world. For a while, it was a part of Soviet Union and now is a democratic country all for itself, which makes her therefore more interesting than her Soviet neighbors, excluding the Caspian Sea part.
