The bookmark emoji has a bit of a misnomer as it depicts what looks far more like a tag for a present than an actual bookmark. It resembles quite closely the label emoji, except that the bookmark version is usually much more colorful. It depicts a rectangular piece of paper or material which can be red, blue, white or yellow, depending on the version used. It often has a decoration imprinted on it, such as a snowflake or star. Most versions often have a loop of ribbon or string connected to it. It is used to say that an idea, page or plan has been “bookmarked” or that you are doing your Holiday shopping!
