This emoji was first introduced in Unicode 7.0 on June 16, 2014 which was followed by addition to Emoji 1.0 in August, 2015. Motorway emoji was first rolled out by JoyPixels on September 1, 2014 with 1.0 update. Following months saw 🛣️ release by LG, Skype, Microsoft, Apple on May 18, 2015, June 1, 2015, July 29, 2015, October 27, 2015 respectively.
